Go on an adventure with the 3rd generation Trek Checkpoint ALR 4, a versatile gravel bike designed for trails, long rides and bikepacking. Its 300 Series Alpha Aluminium frame and full carbon fork offer an excellent balance of robustness, precision and comfort. The Shimano CUES 1x11-speed drivetrain has an 11-50 tooth cassette to tackle steep climbs, while the hydraulic disc brakes ensure reliable control. Its numerous mounts and clearance for tyres up to 50 mm allow it to be easily adapted to every adventure.
The 3rd generation Trek Checkpoint ALR 4 is for cyclists looking for a versatile bike to discover gravel, explore new routes or go on multi-day trips with luggage. Its Endurance Gravel geometry promotes a stable and comfortable position while retaining enough dynamism for sporty rides.
Its Matte Keswick Green to Lichen Fade colourway combines different shades of green in a sober and natural matte finish. It highlights the bike's adventurous character and perfectly matches the tan sidewalls of its tyres.
The 300 Series Alpha Aluminium frame offers an excellent compromise between stiffness, strength and weight control. Internal cable routing protects the housing and maintains a clean aesthetic.
The frame features a threaded T47 bottom bracket, a UDH universal derailleur hanger and thru-axles. These modern standards facilitate maintenance and ensure a stable platform when the terrain becomes uneven.
The Trek Checkpoint full carbon fork helps to filter out vibrations from tracks and rough roads. Its tapered steerer tube promotes precise handling, especially on descents and during quick changes of direction.
It also has mounts for a rack, mudguards or additional accessories. This allows the Checkpoint to evolve from a bike for daily rides to a true touring machine.
The drivetrain is based on Shimano CUES U6030 levers and a Shimano CUES U8000 GS rear derailleur. The single chainring setup simplifies use and limits shifting when the route alternates quickly between climbs, descents and technical sections.
The 40-tooth chainring is paired with a Shimano CUES LINKGLIDE 11-50 tooth cassette. This range allows you to maintain pace on rolling sections while having a gear that is easy enough to climb steep slopes or ride with luggage.
Shimano CUES hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful and progressive braking. They make it easier to control your speed on loose terrain, on long descents or when conditions become wet.
The 160 mm Shimano RT54 discs use a Center Lock mount. The frame and fork accept discs up to 180 mm at the front and rear.
The Bontrager Paradigm 23 rims have an internal width of 23 mm and a Tubeless Ready construction. A tubeless setup can improve comfort, grip and resistance to pinch flats, after installing the appropriate rim tape, valves and sealant.
The Bontrager Girona Comp 700x42 mm tyres offer a good balance between efficiency and grip. The frame accepts tyres up to 50 mm without mudguards or 42 mm with mudguards.
The Checkpoint ALR 4 has mounts for racks, mudguards, panniers and accessories. This modularity allows you to install the necessary equipment for daily commutes, self-supported rides or multi-day trips.
The total authorised weight limit is 125 kg. This value includes the bike, the cyclist and all luggage carried.
The Bontrager Elite Gravel handlebar offers a stable position and several hand placement options. Its width varies according to the frame size to maintain consistent handling for every cyclist.
The Verse Short Comp saddle and the 27.2 mm aluminium seatpost complete a setup designed to remain comfortable as the miles add up.
