A lightweight and aerodynamic racing bike

The 8th generation Trek Madone SL 6 AXS combines the aerodynamic qualities of the Madone with the lightness once associated with the Émonda. It is aimed at cyclists looking for a bike that performs on the flat, is efficient on climbs and comfortable enough for long distances.

Its race-oriented geometry promotes a dynamic position and precise handling. The Madone SL 6 AXS is therefore suitable for competitions, cyclosportives, fast group rides and intensive training.

A 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame

The frame is made of 500 Series OCLV Carbon. This construction offers an excellent compromise between stiffness, weight, strength and price compared to the 900 Series OCLV Carbon used on the Madone SLR versions.

The tubes feature Full System Foil technology. Their shape has been developed to reduce air resistance while maintaining the lightness needed to perform when the road goes uphill.

IsoFlow technology to improve comfort

The IsoFlow technology creates a characteristic opening at the seat tube. It allows this area of the frame to maintain a certain amount of flex to better filter out vibrations and small road irregularities.

IsoFlow also contributes to the bike's aerodynamic performance by guiding airflow through the frame. This design helps maintain a good level of comfort without adding the weight of a mechanical damping system.

A SRAM Rival AXS E1 electronic groupset

The 12-speed SRAM Rival AXS E1 electronic groupset offers fast, precise and customisable shifting. Wireless communication between the controls and derailleurs simplifies installation and contributes to the bike's clean aesthetic.

The 48/35-tooth crankset is paired with a 10-36-tooth cassette. This combination offers gearing suitable for fast courses, hilly roads and long climbs. The cyclist benefits from both a gear high enough to ride fast and a low gear accessible on steep gradients.

The SRAM AXS app allows you to customise the operation of the controls, check battery levels and update the various components.

Bontrager Aeolus Elite 50 carbon wheels

The Bontrager Aeolus Elite 50 wheels have 50 mm deep OCLV carbon rims. This profile improves air penetration and makes it easier to maintain speed on flat and rolling sections.

Their Tubeless Ready construction allows the use of tubeless tyres. This setup can reduce the risk of pinch flats and allows for lower pressures to improve comfort and grip.

Fast 700 x 28 mm tyres

The wheels are fitted with Bontrager Aeolus Pro Tubeless Ready tyres in 700 x 28 mm. Their 120 TPI casing and aramid bead are designed to promote efficiency while maintaining a good level of comfort.

The frame accepts tyres up to 32 mm wide. It is thus possible to increase the tyre volume to prioritise comfort and versatility on poor road surfaces.

Powerful and progressive hydraulic braking

SRAM hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful, progressive and consistent braking. The 160 mm SRAM Paceline Centerlock discs offer good speed control on descents and maintain their effectiveness when conditions become wet.

An adjustable and upgradeable cockpit

The aluminium Bontrager Comp handlebar is paired with a Trek RCS Pro stem. This two-piece construction makes it easy to adjust the position and replace a component compared to a one-piece cockpit.

The RCS headset system allows for particularly discreet cable routing. The Madone SL can also be upgraded with a compatible carbon cockpit if the cyclist wishes to reduce weight and further optimise aerodynamics.

A sober and bright Era White finish

The Era White colour highlights the clean lines and aerodynamic shapes of the frame. The black components and high-profile wheels create an elegant contrast that underlines the bike's sporty positioning.
