The Petzl SWIFT RL headlamp develops a maximum power of 1,200 lumens for demanding night-time sports outings, particularly in trail running, mountaineering and skiing. Its REACTIVE LIGHTING technology automatically adapts the lighting to the ambient brightness. Rechargeable via USB-C and lightweight at 92 g, it combines a mixed beam and red lighting.
The Petzl SWIFT RL is designed for athletes who are active in the dark and need powerful lighting without multiple adjustments. Its light sensor automatically adjusts the power and shape of the beam in REACTIVE LIGHTING mode. This adaptation promotes visual comfort and reduces handling during exercise.
The mixed beam combines wide lighting for close-up areas and a focused light to anticipate the terrain. In REACTIVE LIGHTING mode, the sensor adapts the intensity according to the ambient brightness. STANDARD LIGHTING mode maintains a constant power when you prefer to control the lighting conditions yourself.
A continuous red light allows you to remain discreet, while the flashing mode is used to signal your presence. In REACTIVE LIGHTING mode, the maximum power reaches 1,200 lumens with a range of 168 metres according to the performance announced by Petzl.
The 2,250 mAh lithium-ion battery is rechargeable via USB-C. The stated charging time is five hours. The battery life depends on the selected mode and the power required: in REACTIVE LIGHTING mode, it can reach 70 hours in the lighting level designed to prioritise duration of use.
The lamp also has a reserve light to help continue the activity when the battery is almost discharged. Actual performance varies depending on the conditions of use and the chosen mode.
With a weight of 92 g, the SWIFT RL limits bulk on the head. Its adjustable headband aims to ensure a suitable fit for dynamic activities. The IPX4 rating indicates resistance to bad weather and water splashes, but does not allow for immersion.
