Developed by Continental, the BlackChili Compound optimises the trade-off between low rolling resistance, grip and longevity. It allows you to maintain excellent speed on the flat while ensuring precise handling during acceleration, braking and changes of direction.
The Vectran Breaker layer reinforces the tread to limit the risk of punctures. This lightweight and resistant synthetic fibre protects the tyre without excessively penalising its suppleness or performance.
The Lazer Grip technology is based on a micro-profiled structure on the tyre's shoulders. It improves contact with the road when the bike is leaning and helps to provide a precise and reassuring trajectory in curves.
The Active Comfort technology integrated into the casing helps to filter vibrations transmitted from the road. It reduces fatigue over the miles and makes the Grand Prix 5000 particularly pleasant for regular training and long distances.
This Tube Type version must be used with a compatible inner tube. It does not have the Tubeless Ready construction of the Grand Prix 5000 S TR version. Its folding bead makes it easy to transport and results in a lightweight, high-performance package.
Before fitting, check the compatibility of the 32 mm width with your rim and the clearance available on the frame and fork. The pressure must be adapted to the cyclist's weight, the internal width of the rim and the recommendations indicated on the tyre and wheel.
