Ortovox Avalanche Rescue Set Diract

The Ortovox Avalanche Rescue Set Diract safety kit contains all the essential emergency equipment in the event of an avalanche. The set consists of a Diract transceiver, an Alu 240 probe and a Badger shovel.

DVA DIRACT
The DVA DIRACT is designed to allow you to quickly and reliably find your companions buried under an avalanche.
Thanks to its simple and logical design, the DIRACT is particularly easy and intuitive to use, as a single button allows you to quickly mark victims or switch to standby mode. Please note, the DVA DIRACT is not equipped with voice assistance but with acoustic and visual assistance.
The stable display from the first reception reduces stress in an emergency and allows faster searching. The 3-antenna device is equipped with patented Smart Antenna technology, which analyzes the position of the device in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna. This gives up to twice the range and allows you to be found faster. Automatic switching from search and watch mode to transmission mode in the event of an over-avalanche guarantees total protection for the searcher. The large, fully graphic display remains easy to read even in extreme lighting conditions and intuitively guides the user in stressful situations with clear instructions and a 360° real-time display. The RECCO® reflector, integrated into the carrying system, offers an additional Back-up option to be easier to find.
Practical and light (only 210 grams), the DVA DIRACT fits perfectly in the hand or glove thanks to its rubberized grip areas and slips easily into a pants pocket, if you are not using the quick access carrying device , which automatically takes out the DVA as soon as it is opened. This means that the DIRACT is always safely at hand and immediately ready for use.
The DIRACT has a special low temperature rechargeable battery, particularly durable and environmentally friendly. Even at -20°C, it provides reliable power and, unlike traditional batteries, it cannot leak.

ALU 240 PROBE
The Alu 240 probe is ideal for ski touring enthusiasts. Equipped with a Quick-Lock locking system, the Alu 240 probe assembles quickly and simply, it only takes a few seconds to make it operational. Its optimized adjustment screw makes it easy to adjust the tension while its voluminous tip (whose diameter is slightly larger than the rest of the probe) guarantees excellent penetration into the snow. Made from aluminum, the Alu 240 probe weighs only 200 grams. Equipped with a visual control system with depth markers, a pronounced mark at 1 meter and a fluorescent orange lower segment which allows you to optimize the strategy for freeing the victim, the Alu 240 probe is essential.

BADGER SHOVEL
The Shovel Badger avalanche safety shovel is designed to allow you to carry out effective searches during burials. Made from aluminum, the Badger shovel is both light (625 grams) and rigid. Equipped with an ergonomic hybrid handle designed to optimize power transmission, the Badger shovel is designed for the mountains. Grooves on the top of the bucket make it easier to press on with your foot while the grip in the middle of the handle allows for quick and easy assembly. Thanks to its 2.5 liter bucket and its rigid construction with a marked central bar and raised edges, the Badger shovel allows you to shovel efficiently.
