Gain speed and responsiveness with the MOST Ultrafast 45 wheelset. Their full carbon rims feature a 45 mm profile offering an excellent compromise between air penetration, stability and versatility. The 23 mm internal width effectively accommodates modern road tyres, while the Tubeless Ready design allows you to ride with adjusted pressure to improve comfort and grip. Fully hand-assembled, they use 24 aerodynamic Direct Pull spokes per wheel, hubs with sealed bearings and Center Lock disc mounts.
The MOST Ultrafast 45 wheelset has been developed for cyclists looking for a performance gain without choosing an excessively deep profile. It is suitable for sustained training as well as for gran fondos and road competitions.
Their design has been subjected to CFD analysis, wind tunnel tests and road tests. This development aims to combine aerodynamic efficiency, low weight and stable behaviour as speed increases.
The full carbon rims have a height of 45 mm. This intermediate profile reduces aerodynamic drag on flat and hilly courses, while maintaining more accessible handling than a very deep-section wheel.
This height is particularly suitable for cyclists looking for a single high-performance wheelset for varied courses. It retains enough dynamism on climbs while providing an aerodynamic advantage on fast sections.
The internal width of 23 mm allows the tyre to adopt a more natural shape and benefit from better lateral support. It meets the dimensions that are now common on high-performance road bikes.
Depending on the tyre used, this width can promote stability in corners and allow for finer pressure adjustment. It is essential to respect the tyre manufacturer's recommendations and any limits indicated on the rim.
The MOST Ultrafast 45 are Tubeless Ready compatible. A tubeless setup can reduce the risk of pinch flats and allow the use of lower pressures to improve grip and comfort on uneven roads.
The rim tape is supplied. To complete a full tubeless setup, you will also need compatible tyres, suitable valves and sealant. These items may be sold separately depending on the package offered.
Each wheel has 24 DP Aero spokes. Their flattened profile helps to limit aerodynamic disturbances, while their Direct Pull construction eliminates the bend found on a traditional spoke.
This architecture promotes a direct transmission of stresses between the rim and the hub. The ABS self-locking nipples help to maintain even tension and ensure the reliability of the assembly over the miles.
The Ultrafast 45 are hand-built to MOST's artisanal standards. This method allows for precise control of spoke tension and balance to achieve consistent behaviour between the front and rear wheels.
The assembly combines lateral stiffness, steering precision and reliability. It meets the demands of accelerations, surges and prolonged high-intensity efforts.
The hubs integrate a total of six sealed cartridge bearings. This design aims to ensure smooth rotation and protect the bearing surfaces from moisture and spray encountered on the road.
The freehub body is made of aluminium to limit weight. The pair is available with different drivetrain compatibilities, including Shimano and SRAM XDR depending on the version chosen. It is recommended to check the freehub body when ordering.
The hubs accept discs using the Center Lock standard. This system allows for a clean and quick installation of compatible rotors. The discs and lockrings are not necessarily supplied with the wheels.
The wheels are designed for modern road bikes equipped with 12 mm thru-axles. Before installation, it is advisable to check the compatibility of the frame, fork, discs and drivetrain.
The pair has a claimed weight of 1,542 g. This weight allows for good acceleration qualities and dynamic behaviour, while benefiting from the aerodynamic advantages of the 45 mm profile.
The MOST Ultrafast 45 are also approved by the UCI. They can therefore be used in competitions organised under the regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale.
