Set up your bike and start riding with the Elite Rivo home trainer with Zwift Cog and Click. The pre-installed Zwift Cog simplifies mounting bikes with 8 to 13-speed drivetrains, while the Zwift Click remote makes it easy to shift between 24 virtual gears. Capable of delivering up to 2,000 W and replicating 18% gradients, the Rivo is suitable for both endurance sessions and structured workouts. Its Wi-Fi connection, foldable design, and quiet operation make it a particularly practical model for home use.
The Elite Rivo with Zwift Cog and Click is aimed at cyclists who want to enjoy a connected workout without spending long minutes adjusting their drivetrain. The Cog is already installed on the home trainer: simply set up the bike, attach the Click remote to the handlebars, and pair it in Zwift.
This simplicity is valuable when several bikes use the same training space or when you're new to a virtual platform. The Rivo remains powerful enough to support more demanding sessions later on.
The Zwift Cog replaces the traditional cassette with a single cog. This solution avoids the need to mount a cassette identical to the one on the bike and offers wide compatibility with drivetrains from 8 to 13 speeds.
The derailleur remains in the same gear throughout the session. Gear changes are then managed virtually in Zwift, without the chain moving between different cogs.
Correct alignment of the Cog with the chainline is still necessary for smooth and quiet operation. The adjustment can be fine-tuned when switching between bikes.
The Zwift Click remote attaches directly to the handlebars. It allows you to shift through 24 virtual gears without using the bike's shifters.
Shifting is fast and doesn't produce the clunking sounds of a mechanical drivetrain. The Click also allows you to navigate menus, steer your avatar when the feature is available, and send Ride Ons without letting go of the handlebars.
Virtual shifting with Cog and Click is designed for Zwift. To use some other platforms in a traditional setup, you need to remove the Cog and install a compatible cassette.
The Rivo delivers a stated maximum power of 2,000 W at 40 km/h. This capacity largely covers the needs of most cyclists, including during sprints, strength sessions, or short, high-intensity efforts.
Its magnetic resistance unit is electronically controlled. The difficulty automatically adjusts according to the gradient of the course or the power programmed during a structured session.
The home trainer can automatically replicate gradients of up to 18%. Virtual climbs become progressively more difficult without the need to manually change the resistance.
This capability allows you to work on strength and changes of pace on particularly demanding courses. However, the feel depends on the difficulty level set in Zwift, the virtual gear ratio chosen, and your pedalling cadence.
Elite states a power calculation accuracy of ±2.5%. This margin is sufficient for tracking your progress, performing an FTP test, and completing structured workouts based on power zones.
Competitors looking for extremely precise measurement may prefer a higher-end model with a stated accuracy of ±1%. For most daily training, the Rivo's accuracy provides a consistent level of tracking.
In ERG mode, the home trainer automatically adjusts the resistance to maintain the power target set by the application. This feature is particularly useful for intervals, as it saves you from constantly monitoring your gearing.
The Easy Start feature makes it easier to resume after you stop pedalling. It prevents you from having to immediately push against a resistance that has become too high during the stop.
When the cyclist stops pedalling, the Supertuck feature causes the power transmitted to Zwift to drop almost immediately. This allows the platform to detect the lack of effort more quickly and activate the avatar's aerodynamic position when course conditions permit.
The Rivo can connect via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Wi-Fi provides a stable link with compatible platforms and allows the home trainer to automatically search for and install new firmware versions.
The network is configured once. The Rivo can then reconnect automatically for subsequent uses.
The dual Bluetooth channel allows for the simultaneous connection of two devices, such as a training app and a bike computer.
The Bridge function also allows you to connect a heart rate monitor or a cadence sensor to the home trainer, and then transmit their data to the app via a single Bluetooth FTMS connection. This is particularly useful with an Apple TV, which has a limited number of simultaneous connections.
By removing the Zwift Cog and installing a traditional cassette, the Rivo can be used with applications like My E-Training, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, or Kinomap.
The installed freehub body accepts Shimano and SRAM HG 9, 10, and 11-speed cassettes, some Shimano 12-speed road cassettes, as well as SRAM SX and NX 12-speed cassettes. Micro Spline, Campagnolo, and SRAM XD/XDR bodies are available separately.
The Rivo can also operate without a training platform. When it remains powered, a gradient of up to 18% can be set from the My E-Training app and then maintained during the offline session.
Without power or a connection, it is possible to pre-select a resistance level between 1 and 16. This solution doesn't replace the interactive features, but it allows you to keep pedalling in case of a connection problem or when you're far from a power outlet.
With a weight of about 10 kg, an integrated handle, and foldable legs, the Rivo is easier to move than a very bulky home trainer. Once folded, it measures 52 x 16 x 49 cm.
Its format is well-suited for apartments or rooms where the equipment cannot be left set up permanently. The legs must be properly opened and placed on a flat surface before getting on the bike.
The Rivo can be paired with the Elite Rizer gradient simulator. This accessory raises or lowers the front of the bike and adds a steering function to enhance immersion during virtual rides.
It is also compatible with the Elite Aria smart fan and the Elite Square smart frame, after removing the Zwift Cog in the latter case.
Elite states that 22% of the plastics used come from pre-consumer recycled materials. The product has also been designed to facilitate its long-term maintenance and repair.
The Rivo can accommodate road bikes, gravel bikes, MTBs, and some city bikes. The included adapters cover frames with 5 x 130 or 135 mm quick-release skewers as well as frames using a 12 x 142 mm thru-axle.
Specific adapters are available separately for 10 x 135, 12 x 135, Specialized SCS 12 x 135, Boost 12 x 148, and Super Boost 12 x 157 mm formats.
The Elite Rivo with Zwift Cog and Click gets straight to the point: it's quick to set up, works with a wide range of bikes, and offers more than enough resistance for serious training. The Click makes gear changes pleasant and quiet in Zwift, while the Wi-Fi simplifies daily connection. Its ±2.5% accuracy isn't the best on the market, but it's consistent with its price point and sufficient for most cyclists.
