The unisex Distance Carbon Poles from BLACK DIAMOND are designed for those who move through the mountains at high speed! In collaboration with BD athlete Joe Grant, this fixed-length model is the lightest pole ever made by BD, weighing only 95 grams per pole (120 cm).
PRECISION
The contact points of the Distance Carbon Poles are minimal, yet thoughtfully placed for optimal use. For example, a discreet ring is located mid-shaft for a better grip when the pole is carried horizontally.
ULTRA-LIGHT GRIPS
The ultra-light EVA grip provides optimal comfort, while the lower shafts are equipped with removable low-profile baskets for increased versatility.
There is a formula to determine the optimal size for your poles: multiply your height in centimetres by 0.67. For example, if you are 175 cm tall, your poles should be around 117 cm. The sizes offered by manufacturers are usually 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, and 135 cm, so if you are between two sizes, round to the nearest 5 cm.
