Vectran Breaker: Vectran is a very technical synthetic fiber from a natural model. Like spider silk, it features high wear resistance with very low weight. Ideal properties to ensure good protection against punctures while remaining light. Vectran Breaker technology is lighter, more flexible and more efficient against cuts than comparable nylon protectors.

Black Chili Compound Gum: Continental has refined its synthetic rubbers with natural rubber for a high performance tread compound. Continental uses this rubber with special nanoscale carbon soot particles whose surface properties and shape have been optimized for best use with the desired tire. Compared to the previous Activated Silica compound, BlackChili tires benefit from 26% less rolling resistance, 30% more coefficient of friction (grip) and 5% more mileage resistance.
