The Oakley Sutro Lite takes the assertive style and wraparound protection of the Sutro in a semi-rimless construction. The absence of a border under the lens frees up the field of vision and gives the glasses a lighter appearance.
Inspired by the world of urban cycling, they are also suitable for road training, gravel, mountain biking, and sports activities requiring significant eye coverage.
Oakley Prizm Road technology enhances colours and contrasts to better distinguish details on the road surface. It makes it easier to read the pavement, texture changes, and shaded areas.
This lens has a rose base and allows 20% of light to pass through. Rated as category 3, it is particularly suitable for rides in medium to bright light. However, it remains versatile enough for routes that alternate between sun and shaded passages.
The high-wrap shield shape provides significant facial coverage. It helps protect the eyes from wind, dust, debris, and small insects encountered while cycling.
Its semi-rimless profile also improves airflow around the lens. This ventilation helps to limit fogging during climbs, intense efforts, or temperature changes.
The frame is made of O Matter™, a material developed by Oakley to combine lightness, flexibility, and durability. It maintains a high level of comfort during long rides and withstands the stresses of regular sports use.
The Matte White finish provides a bright and contemporary style. It pairs easily with most helmets and cycling kits.
The temples feature textured zones in Unobtainium® to improve grip. The same material is used on the nosepiece to stabilise the glasses when perspiration increases.
This design limits slipping during accelerations, on rough road sections, and when changing position. It also ensures a reliable fit without excessive tightness.
The thin temples fit easily under most cycling helmets. The one-size-fits-all and universal fit are designed to suit many body shapes, with a fit described as large by Oakley.
The frame measures 133 mm in this configuration. As with all wraparound sports glasses, it is advisable to check their compatibility with the helmet used.
Oakley designs and tests its lenses under high-mass and high-velocity conditions to provide protection suited to demanding sports environments. Oakley sun lenses also provide 100% UV protection up to 400 nm.
A suitable case or pouch should be used for transport. To preserve the lens treatment, cleaning should be done with clear water and a clean microfibre cloth.
