The Altra Torin 9 for women is designed for road outings and daily running sessions. Its dual-density P35X™ midsole combines a firmer outer part with a softer inner part to balance stability and cushioning. The Vibram® XS DURA outsole is designed to improve grip and durability on the road. The breathable mesh upper, reworked heel shape, and improved tongue contribute to a comfortable fit.

It can be suitable for a beginner runner looking for a neutral road shoe. However, its 0 mm drop requires a gradual adaptation if you are used to shoes with a higher drop.
It provides space in the forefoot to allow the toes to spread out, while securing the foot at the midfoot. It is the intermediate fit in Altra's FootShape™ range.
The Torin 9 adopts a Vibram® XS DURA outsole which Altra announces has 8.5% more grip than the Torin 8. It also benefits from a dual-density P35X™ foam and reworked fit details.
