A magnificent setting

Located on the Normandy coast, the town of Deauville offers an idyllic setting for triathlon. Participants have the chance to swim in the English Channel, drive along the region’s winding roads and run on the sandy beaches, offering a unique and memorable experience.

A variety of events

The Deauville Triathlon offers a variety of events to suit all levels and ages. From sprint events to long-distance and children’s races. There’s something for every taste and level, making the event accessible to a wide audience.

Distances vary according to each category: sprints (S) also called “Spectacle” distance

The Olympic events (M), known as the “king events”, which take place in many events on the WTS (World Triathlon Series) circuit and in the FFTRI Grand Prix.

For long-distance triathlons (L) often run in a Half-Ironman® format, this event represents the most accessible long-distance format for triathletes.

An international event

The Deauville Triathlon attracts participants from all over the world, making it a truly international event. This cultural diversity adds an extra dimension to the experience, offering participants the chance to meet and exchange ideas with triathletes from different backgrounds.

Natation

La natation se déroule généralement en eau libre, dans la Manche. Les distances varient selon les catégories, mais pour les épreuves de triathlon standard, la distance de natation est souvent de : 750 mètres pour les épreuves Sprint (S) 1,5 kilomètre pour les épreuves Olympiques (M) 2 kilomètres pour les épreuves Longues (L)

Cyclisme

Après la natation, les participants enfourchent leur vélo pour la deuxième étape. Les distances de cyclisme sont également variables en fonction des catégories, mais voici les distances typiques : 20 kilomètres pour les épreuves Sprint (S) 40 kilomètres pour les épreuves Olympiques (M) 90 kilomètres pour les épreuves Longues (L)

Course à Pied

La troisième et dernière étape du triathlon est la course à pied. Les participants enchaînent après le cyclisme pour parcourir la distance prévue, qui est généralement de : 5 kilomètres pour les épreuves Sprint (S) 10 kilomètres pour les épreuves Olympiques (M) 21,1 kilomètres pour les épreuves Longues (L)
