Only two hours from Paris, the International Triathlon of Deauville has become the unmissable event for triathletes of all levels. Nearly 7,000 triathletes gathered in 2019 in the heart of this popular seaside town. Today, "Trideauville" is one of the most important organizations in France and welcomes the most beautiful sports brands at the Tri Expo Deauville trade fair - the largest in France dedicated to triathlon. Lepape is the title partner of the long distance event and is present every year in the exhibitors' village.
A true institution in the cyclist's calendar since 1983, the Marmotte Granfondo de l'Alpe d'Huez is the most important cycling event in the Alps after the Tour of France. La Marmotte is remarkable for the beauty of its route and the difficulty of its legendary passes. Lepape has been the title partner since 2019. The company is happy to support its customers as well as the 7,500 participants from all over the world to climb the 21 laces of Alpe d'Huez. The Lepape staff also competes, manages events and competitions. The volunteers of La Marmotte supply and encourage the runners at each pass; iconic support! At the end of the event, the collective meal is an opportunity for the participants to discuss the same passion: cycling and the mountains.
You must have run the Médoc as you do New York, London or Paris! Stunningly beautiful, the Médoc circuit winds around more than 50 châteaux. Each year, the Médoc marathon brings together 8,500 participants (45% of whom come from foreign countries), 3,000 volunteers and 30,000 spectators. The warm welcome of the local population mingles with the festive spirit of the organizers: costumes, entertainment, parties and orchestras punctuate the event, not to mention the famous recovery walk of which Lepape is proud to share the values: health , sport and conviviality.
When the first triathlon event saw the light of day in La Baule in 1988, its organizer was far from imagining that 6,000 athletes and 60,000 spectators will meet there 30 years later. Considered today as one of the biggest French sporting events, the Triathlon de la Baule has recently benefited from the support of Audencia Business School students. In September of each year, the beaches of La Baule are shaken by the dynamism and determination of the triathletes, in no way afraid of the water temperature! In 2019, the 32nd edition was a pivotal moment by hosting the triathlon Grand Prix final of D1 clubs.
The Triathlon Grand Prix corresponds to the French Championship for 1st Division clubs. The best French men's and women's clubs compete there over 5 memorable stages, between May and September 2019. Each club enters 5 athletes per stage. The first three to finish rank the team. At the end of each stage, a club ranking is established. At the end of the five stages, the men's and women's clubs at the top of the general classification are declared Champions of France. Lepape is delighted to see his name bear the colors of this major event in the calendar of the Fédération française de triathlon (FFTri).
A name worthy of a historical film for a trail race which is now unmissable in Limousin. Born in 2000 under the aegis of the Gendarmerie, this major event brings together trail and hiking enthusiasts in a nature that is difficult to tame, on surprising, demanding and beautiful routes. 100% nature, the race offers eight events in the heart of the Ambazac mountains countryside. The Gendarmes and the Thieves are famous for their famous climb of the 42 steps of the Chapel, whose atmosphere is compared to the frenzy seen in the passes of the Tour de France. An event to experience and share.
A real city bike festival! Created in 1995, the Lyon Free Bike aims to be a “crazy hike-raid” which offers cross-country mountain biking in the heart of the city. Attracting thousands of visitors each year, the event caters to all audiences and all levels. The route changes every year but keeps the heart of the city as a playground. The capital of Gaul is transformed for the occasion into a breeding ground for varied cycling routes and its historical monuments stand out all the more: Roman theaters, the Tête d'Or park velodrome, Célestins car park… The 700 meters of vertical drop do not frighten seasoned competitors, but the difficult passages mark the spirits: descents of stairs typical of the Lyon hills , legendary trail of the Sarra, rugged lower ports of the Rhône; enough to take your calves and your eyes!
The concept of urban trail has its roots in the city of Lyon. In line with the "Lyon Free Bike" event, the Lyon Urban Trail (LUT) is about appropriating urbanity to make it an outdoor sports ground! Asphalt replaces trail trails, and the drop of 6000 stairs replaces that of mountain paths. This unusual course crosses the most beautiful sites in Lyon: the National Conservatory of Music, the Gallo-Roman site of Fourvière and others. The Lyon Urban Trail combines a sporting challenge and heritage discovery, to the delight of the 10,000 curious sportsmen who take up the challenge each year.
Lyon by night, like you've never seen! This night version of the “Lyon Urban Trail” attracts night owl trailers in November of each year. Different from a running race, the urban trail draws its course through stairs, cobbled streets, various hillocks and the banks of the Rhône. Over three distances (26, 15 and 8 km), the participants compete for the unevenness of some 6,000 staircases and run in a playful and magical atmosphere. The Lyon Urban Trail By Night allows athletes to discover the city in a different way and to challenge their feelings of the environment. Armed with their headlamps, nearly 10,000 trailers have come to test their endurance there since 2014.
A complete weekend during which Brittany vibrates to the rhythm of the strides of the runners! The Rennes / Saint-Grégoire metropolitan areas welcome nearly 4,000 participants every winter. 250 volunteers largely contribute to the success of this great running race which has been in the annals for more than 20 years. The Lepape company is proud of its Breton origins. The partnership with Les Métropolitaines de Rennes / Saint-Grégoire is a lasting tribute to the roots of the company and it is part of the sharing of common values: solidarity and a taste for effort.
