The Triathlon Grand Prix corresponds to the French Championship for 1st Division clubs. The best French men's and women's clubs compete there over 5 memorable stages, between May and September 2019. Each club enters 5 athletes per stage. The first three to finish rank the team. At the end of each stage, a club ranking is established. At the end of the five stages, the men's and women's clubs at the top of the general classification are declared Champions of France. Born in 2000 under the aegis of the Gendarmerie, this major event brings together trail and hiking enthusiasts in a nature that is difficult to tame, on surprising, demanding and beautiful routes. 100% nature, the race offers eight events in the heart of the Ambazac mountains countryside. The concept of urban trail has its roots in the city of Lyon. In line with the "Lyon Free Bike" event, the Lyon Urban Trail (LUT) is about appropriating urbanity to make it an outdoor sports ground! Asphalt replaces trail trails, and the drop of 6000 stairs replaces that of mountain paths. This unusual course crosses the most beautiful sites in Lyon: the National Conservatory of Music, the Gallo-Roman site of Fourvière and others. Lyon by night, like you've never seen! This night version of the “Lyon Urban Trail” attracts night owl trailers in November of each year. Different from a running race, the urban trail draws its course through stairs, cobbled streets, various hillocks and the banks of the Rhône. Over three distances (26, 15 and 8 km), the participants compete for the unevenness of some 6,000 staircases and run in a playful and magical atmosphere. The Lyon Urban Trail By Night allows athletes to discover the city in a different way and to challenge their feelings of the environment. Armed with their headlamps, nearly 10,000 trailers have come to test their endurance there since 2014.
